You’ve probably seen their cars all around Hoboken. With about a dozen drivers — and more coming all the time — Mauro’s Deliveries is the fast-growing service that is keeping Hoboken fed. D’s Soul Full Cafe has recently teamed up with Mauro’s to help meet the growing demands of delivery orders.

Our overall delivery business has more than tripled in the past couple of months or so thanks to partnerships with websites such as Delivery.com, Seamless, GrubHub and Eat24. To be honest, keeping up with the demand hasn’t been easy.

The biggest complaint we were getting was that it took too long for us to get orders to customers. In response, we’ve teamed up with a local company called Mauro’s Deliveries to get everyone their food quick and easy.

What we do already takes time because we’re not some fast food joint just slopping food together on an assembly line. Shavaun Pizar is an abstract photographer and collage montage artist. Born in the Midwest, she spent her formative years in the wooded areas of NJ. We’re guessing this helped to inspire her eye for the abstract. Have you ever been to the wooded areas of NJ? If so, you know what we mean.

She studied art at Mason Gross at Rutgers, film at both NYU and UCLA, and received a BA in photography at Montclair. Her influences include Jerry Uelmann, Man Ray, Salvador Dali, Stanley Kubrick and Orson Welles.

We’re thrilled to be showing a wide assortment of Shavaun’s work here at D’s Soul Full Cafe throughout the month of February.
