October Artist Heather Leigh Corey

Heather is our Featured Artist for the month of October 2011. Come check out her beautiful paper sculptures.

Paper’s potential as a medium is what sparks Heather Leigh Corey’s attention. She investigates paper as the subject rather than the surface and practices Western and Eastern traditions of papermaking.

Heather moved to Hoboken about three years ago to establish her studio and begin teaching art. “Living in Hoboken has allowed for my active involvement with nearby cooperative organizations and galleries and continues to be a community that offers a myriad of opportunities for artists,” she says.

We are very happy to have Heather’s beautiful paper sculptures on display at D’s Soul Full Cafe from Friday October 7, 2011 thru Thursday November 6, 2011. All art pieces are for sale with 100% of the proceeds going to the artist.
