February 2014 Artist: Rebecca Corcory

We are happy to debut this very unique line of jewelry for lovers of art, music and the environment.

Rebecca Corcory is a unique Visual Artist and a recent Hoboken resident. We’re delighted to be debuting her jewelry line ‘Vinyl Vixen’. She has a deep love for the Arts and works in a multitude of media such as graphic design, photography, oils, acrylic and — her latest project — jewelry design.

‘Vinyl Vixen’ is a most interesting jewelry collection, comprised of silver & gold metals with original pieces of vinyl records worked into each piece. All of her jewelry pieces are one-of-a-kind & made with a sustainable consciousness.

We’ve never displayed jewelry here at D’s Soul Full Cafe, so this type of art show is a first for us. And Rebecca’s concept of working old vinyl records into gold and silver jewelry intrigued us. So we’re pretty excited about it.

Rebecca will also be stopping by throughout the month to speak with anyone who wants to learn more about her art and jewelry. Please follow us on Facebook or Twitter for more details and schedules.

My intentions are to bring you a smile while you take moment to check out some of the beautiful things I encounter on a daily basis.

Rebecca obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Apparel Design from the University of Delaware. She went on to work as a Designer for various corporate clothing companies in the NYC & Philadelphia area.
