Formed From Chaos: Art Show for Juliana de Moraes

Brazilian-American artist Juliana de Moraes brings her beautiful and creative drawings to our li’l gallery for a new art show.

Juliana de Moraes is a Brazilian-American artist born and raised in New York City. Art has always been a part of her life since childhood. She turned her creativity into reality by graduating from UMASS-Amherst with a degree in Architecture and Design. She works in multiple media ranging from painting, drawing, graphic work, photography and 3D models.

In her first exhibit in 2007, Juliana showcased her graphic design work at the 50th Anniversary Women’s History Month Exhibition at Umass-Amherst. In the Spring of 2008, she was awarded First Place in the Junior/Senior/Graduate Student Exhibition for Architecture & Design, where she had built a model and developed a proposed design for a new Student Union for UMASS campus.

From her “Dreamscape” Paintings to her “Formed From Chaos” Drawings to her “Through My Eyes” Photographs, Juliana has been pushing to show the beauty she sees in the smallest dismissed details around her. By bringing to light things that would normally be over looked, she hopes to rekindle people’s appreciation of the world around them.

We are excited to have her “Formed From Chaos” Drawings hanging on our walls in our latest Art Show.
