January 2014 Music Residents: Marrick Smith & Ninetta Nappi

This month we are honored to have two talented local musicians sharing the duties as Music Residents on our li’l stage.

Sometimes fate can throw you a curve that brings about a wonderful opportunity. We have two talented musicians that — due to scheduling conflicts — could not commit to the entire month. Luckily, they were able to work out a way to each play a portion of the month.

Marrick Smith

Marrick Smith is an Actor, Singer/Songwriter, and playwright. He was born and raised in NYC. He is currently involved in the Public Theater’s Musical Fun Home. Marrick has been playing guitar for almost ten years and writing songs just as long. His music is a unique blend of Folk/Rock/Hip Hop that he promises will be both exciting and different. We’re thrilled to have him on our li’l stage.

Ninetta Nappi

Singer/Songwriter Ninetta Nappi’s songs reflect our times, specifically when it comes to the environment. She’ll also be performing select covers from the 60s & 70s. Her aim is to bring a soulful & peaceful sound to you through her voice and guitar. Accompanying her will be violinist Barry Kersch. As luck would have it, Ninetta is also our featured visual artist for the month of January.
