Rob Nicholas

Singer/songwriter with a country tinge and an island feel performed here in August, 2010.

Rob hails from good ol’ Lansdale PA, but for those of you who don’t know, we’ll just say Philly. From an early age he remembers making up melodies and lyrics in the tailgate of his mom’s vintage powder blue station wagon, “that was my first studio experience.” His first real influences stemmed from some old school country legends… Kenny Rogers, Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Alabama, “you name it I was forced to listen to it.”

His extended family being from the south, there were many a long road trip, he found himself trapped in the back of that station wagon filled with the sounds of country music and nothing else. Soon he found himself singing along to pretty much everything he heard on the radio…and then it happened, he discovered the joyful sallyness that is musical theatre. He then decided it was his true passion to wear make‐up, dance, and sing the way only a true legitimate musical theatre performer could.
